James Franklin secured his second commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, doubling down on the defensive line.
Three-star DL Brock Frisby of Severn, MD committed to the Hokies on Friday afternoon. He chose the Hokies over other offers from Nebraska, Kentucky, West Virginia, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, South Florida, and more.
He is the second defensive line commitment for the Hokies along three-star DE Alexander Taylor out of Maryland powerhouse program St Frances. Frisby previously visited Virginia Tech for the Hokies' February 1st Junior Day and will be back on campus for an official visit on the first weekend of June.
One thing that is clear is that VT will continue to make the footprint including the DMV region and state of Maryland a priority. It helps that James Franklin is recruiting lots of places that he previously recruited very well for Penn State.
