Virginia Tech got their 2024 football recruiting class going in a big way this evening landing a commitment from four-star QB Davi Belfort.
Belfort chose the Hokies over fellow finalists Texas A&M and Michigan State along with offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, Miami, Florida, TCU, and many more. Belfort plays at Gulliver Prep in Florida and is the son of former UFC great Vitor Belfort.
Belfort is a big time get for the Hokies as arguably Tech's top overall QB target for this cycle. Landing him now gives Tech some much-needed momentum on the recruiting trail with the 2024 class.
This is also an impressive get because of the schools they beat in Texas A&M and Mixhigan State who also hosted Belfort like the Hokies earlier in 2023. Now he may not be a take at all of his 30 offers, but the fact that he has that list of offers is a great statement about the talent that he has.
We will have more as this story develops.
