Four-Star RB Ramon Brown Commits to Virginia Tech

Entrance 1

Virginia Tech made a major splash on the recruiting trail today landing a commitment from four-star RB Ramon Brown out of Manchester HS, one of the best high school programs in the Richmond area.

Brown chose the Hokies over an impressive list of offers including his other official visit destinations: Penn State, Maryland, South Carolina, and West Virginia. He also has offers from Michigan, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan State, Virginia, Wake Forest, Rutgers, Temple, and Liberty.

Brown becomes the second RB commit of the 2021 cycle for the Hokies alongside three-star RB Bryce Duke. He is also the sixth in-state commitment this cycle along with Duke, three-star DE Kyree Moyston, three-star DL Rashaud Pernell, three-star DT Lemar Law Jr, and three-star TE Harrison Saint Germain.

There is no doubt that this is a massive commitment for Virginia Tech as Brown is not only one of Tech's top overall targets but also a consensus top 10 recruit in Virginia with ESPN ranking him 6th, 247 Sports ranking him 9th, the 247 Sports Composite ranking him 8th, and Rivals having him just outside at 11th.

Tech has gained a lot of momentum in Richmond recently landing Pernell prior to landing Brown, two of the top talents in the 2022 class in the Richmond area. Brown is also ranked as the top Richmond area recruit in the 2022 cycle by both ESPN and 247 Sports with the Composite having him 2nd and Rivals having him 3rd among those in the Richmond metro.

Tech will also be looking to cap their strong Richmond class off well with talented DE Bryson Jennings among the top overall remaining targets for Tech.

We will have more as this story develops.
