Virginia Tech has their first commitment of the Brent Pry era as four-star TE Benji Gosnell has committed to the Hokies.

Gosnell chose the Hokies over North Carolina who made a large push, Ohio State where he had been committed earlier in the cycle, Georgia, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, N.C. State, Wake Forest, Louisville, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Duke, and others.
Gosnell becomes the eighth in-state commit for the Hokies this cycle and the third in-state four-star commit along with OT Gunner Givens and RB Ramon Brown.
He had this to say about why he chose the Hokies.
"I love Blacksburg. The atmosphere and culture there are second to none. It was an offer I couldn’t refuse," Gosnell said.
There's no doubt that this is a big boost for Brent Pry as he gets settled in with the Hokies. Yes, Tech was the clear favorite with Gosnell prior to Justin Fuente's departure, but the fact that Pry was able to get Gosnell on board only days after his hiring is definitely a strong statement on the recruiting trail.
We will have more as this story develops.
