After dropping out of the top 25 last week due to a loss at Syracuse, the Virginia Tech Hokies bounced back with a big 37-16 victory over the Miami Hurricanes to put themselves in a good position to jump back into the top 25 this week. However, there were a few schools battling for the final spots in the polls this week after a couple upsets made things a little more interesting.
In the end, the Hokies were able to make their return to the top 25.

Virginia Tech returned to the top 25 this week at 25th in both the AP Poll and 25th in the Coaches Poll after the Thursday night win over Miami. The Hokies will look to stay in for more than a couple weeks as they should be favored in every game left on the schedule as the Hokies are already 4.5-point favorites at Pittsburgh, the Hokies' toughest opponent left.
The ACC as a whole has 5 teams in the top 25 with Clemson leading the way at #3, Louisville at #5, Florida State at #12, North Carolina at #21, and the Hokies rounding it out at #25 in the AP Top 25 with Pittsburgh being the only other ACC team to receive any votes.
Virginia Tech is back in the top 25 but faces a tricky road game at Pittsburgh that will test them and make them earn a higher ranking if they can get the job done in another critical Coastal clash.
