The Virginia Tech Hokies signed most of their 2018 recruiting class during the early signing period, but were still looking to add a few more pieces. Defensive line has been a particular focus with VT showing interest in Javontae Jean-Baptiste, Jaevon Becton, and Jamarcus Chatman while trying to keep Cam Goode.
Today, the Hokies received some good news from one of their defensive line targets.
Three-star DL Jaevon Becton from Virginia Beach announced today that he has committed to Virginia Tech. Becton is the 24th commit and third commit from the 757 for the Hokies in the 2018 class. This commitment comes after Becton was on campus this weekend for his official visit
. Becton was also previously committed to Georgia before decommitting in December.
Becton has received offers from the following schools according to 247 Sports
- ACC: Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, NC State, Wake Forest, Syracuse
