Virginia Tech has sent out lots of offers recently throughout the East Coast and South. That included multiple offers being sent to players at Jacksonville's Sandalwood HS including three-star CB Jahquez Robinson. Robinson had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer. "I was excited because I want to be an engineer and it’s a tech school so that’s right in my alley. Plus, that was the first school I wanted to go to beginning my freshman year, and it's in the ACC." Robinson told us that it was DL coach Charley Wiles who extended him the offer. So how does this offer impact his recruitment and VT's standing in it? "It definitely changes some things, but I have never been on campus or even in Virginia. I would like to get up there soon." In addition to hoping to visit Blacksburg, Robinson has plans to visit Georgia, LSU, Purdue, and Vanderbilt while also looking at visits to Kentucky, Penn State, and Louisville. At the time of offering, Robinson told us that Penn State, LSU, and Purdue are among the teams around the top of his recruitment that have offered. Additionally, Georgia and Georgia Tech are continuing to push hard for him while Oklahoma and Texas are among the top schools that haven't offered him yet.
