At the beginning of the summer, Jalin Hyatt came up to Blacksburg for a weekend camp and earned himself a scholarship offer
from Virginia Tech. Since then, Hyatt has emerged as one of the top 2020 recruits in the state of South Carolina and recently updated us on his recruitment after recently visiting Blacksburg.
While Hyatt doesn't currently have a leader in his recruitment, the three-star WR did tell us that Virginia Tech is recruiting him the hardest.
At the end of July, Hyatt visited the Hokies for the first time since receiving an offer.
"It was great! The coaches met my family and we had a great time," Hyatt said about his visit.
What stood out to him about his visit?
"How beautiful it is in Blacksburg, it’s an amazing place. Also, meeting all the coaches and starting a relationship stood out to me," Hyatt said.
Looking ahead, Hyatt told us that he is hoping to visit Virginia Tech this fall in addition to Clemson, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Duke. Hyatt also added that he feels Clemson, South Carolina, and Tennessee are the schools that are closest to offering him.
Hyatt is the latest highly-recruited wide receiver to come out of the Dutch Fork HS program in Irmo, SC with Bryce Thompson
and Austin Connor
among the previous talented WRs/ATHs to come out of Dutch Fork.
For now, the Hokies have positioned themselves well early in the recruitment of Jalin Hyatt with Hyatt poised to make a return to Blacksburg this fall.
