Virginia Tech picked up its biggest win of the James Franklin era with a thrilling 20-16 victory over Clemson at Death Valley. After the game, James Franklin addressed the media and had this to say about the Hokies' win over the Tigers.
Opening Statement
So first of all, give Clemson and this venue and this environment a ton of credit. It's a tough place to play. Got a lot of respect for Dabo and what he has built here. I also want to thank our fans that traveled. Thought we had a good showing here with Virginia Tech fans to support us.
But I also want to thank everybody that had a part in this win: the managers, the trainers, the doctors, the staff, the coaches. That was a team win, and it took everybody's commitment to get that done, which was really cool. I also want to thank the administration for treating this program like a first-class program. It was big time. So a lot of good things, a lot of things to talk about, but I'll let you guys ask the questions and I'll answer.
