Fuga becomes the 18th commit for the Hokies in their 2019 class and seventh from the Commonwealth. In addition, Fuga is the fourth defensive tackle commit joining three-star high school DTs
Mario Kendricks and
Norell Pollard along with three-star JUCO DT
Dashawn Crawford.
Fuga told us that Virginia Tech is his "dream school" which was a big reason why he chose the Hokies. Fuga also told us that his official visit to Blacksburg this weekend also made a big impact on his decision to commit to the Hokies.
"Taking the visit played a MAJOR role in my commitment. I got to meet the guys I will be coming in with and I got a feeling on how to be a Hokie," Fuga said.
With his commitment today, Fuga confirmed to us that he will be signing on Wednesday, ending his recruitment by officially joining the Hokies.
