James Franklin and Virginia Tech have landed another Penn State transfer in WR Jeff Exinor Jr.
Jeff Exinor Jr. is now one of nine portal additions this offseason and the fourth from Penn State, joining DL Daniel Jennings, TE Matt Henderson, and QB Ethan Grunkenmeyer, who is heavily reported to be joining the Hokies this offseason.
The 6-foot-1, 216-pound WR saw a few games for the Nittany Lions, primarily on special teams, leading to a redshirt year. He is the fifth transfer who has all four years of eligibility DL Daniel Jennings, TE Matt Henderson, OT Justin Bell, and DE Javion Hilson.
Exinor Jr. was a class of 2025 commit under James Franklin at Penn State. A four-star recruit out of Baltimore, MD, where he recorded 30 catches for 463 yards and six touchdowns in his senior year of high school. He had multiple offers that included one from Virginia Tech and WRs coach Fontel Mines.
Jeff Exinor Jr. will now join a WR room that will be looking for production next year, as Tech's leading receiver Ayden Greene tallied 516 receiving yards, and the next closest only had 274 yards. While Exinor isn't expected to compete for a major role early in his VT career, he will certainly look to at least break into Tech's WR rotation within the next couple of seasons.
