Virginia Tech hosted their second Junior Day of 2019 with several
top 2020, 2021, and 2022 targets on campus including four-star WR Ray Grier who told us that he had a "great" visit to Virginia Tech.

Grier described the visit as "very personable" and also had a lot that stood out to him.
"The campus, food, coaches and really everything, it’s a beautiful place to be," Grier said about what stood out on his visit.
Grier spent lots of time with the coaches including his area recruiter James Shibest and head coach Justin Fuente with the four-star WR having lots of praise for his time with them.
"It was great man them guys take care of me. Nothing but love for them," Grier said.
Ray Grier has also built a "great" relationship with James Shibest and had this to say about his area recruiter.
"He bring so much joy and energy you can’t not have fun when you're there with him," Grier said.
Grier also told us that he's built a "great" relationship with head coach Justin Fuente and praised Fuente for his straightforward he is.
Going into his visit,
Grier told us that Virginia Tech and North Carolina were standing out in his recruitment, and had multiple reasons why he thought so highly of VT.
"Great program, great coaches and great campus, and I think they have a shot at the natty," Grier said.
So how did this visit impact his recruitment?
"Overall it was a great trip and I learned a lot. Virginia Tech is really high on my list," Grier said.
While Ray Grier may not have a leader at this point, it's clear that Virginia Tech is a frontrunner for this talented four-star receiver from North Carolina.

Grier is rated as a four-star recruit by
Rivals and the 247 Sports Composite with Rivals ranking him 184th nationally and the 247 Sports Composite ranking him 312th. In the state of North Carolina, Grier is ranked as the ninth best recruit by
247 Sports, and tenth best recruit by Rivals and the 247 Sports Composite. Among wide receiver, Grier is ranked 38th best by Rivals, 61st best by the 247 Sports Composite, and 76th best by 247 Sports.
