On Tuesday Morning, Virginia Tech Softball announced the signing of Stetson shortstop Addy Foster out of the transfer portal. She announced it on her personal X page last Friday.

Hokies head coach Pete D’Amour had the following to say about her addition.
"[Addy] is a versatile player and a proven collegiate left-handed hitter." D'Amour said in the Virginia Tech press release. "Through talking with her, it's evident that Addy has the qualities we look for when adding players into our program. She's hard working and wants to do whatever it takes to help us win."
Foster spent two years at Stetson, where she played a total of 106 games. Over her two years, she has slashed. 368/.466/.528 with six homers and 59 RBI along with 39 stolen bases.
She was solid as a freshman, but really took a big jump going into her second year. As a sophomore, she slashed .411/.505/.646 with five homers and 45 RBI.
Annika Rohs was the Hokies primary starting shortstop in 2025, but Foster coming in will quickly challenge her for that starting position. Foster could also very possibly slot in at second base and challenge Rachel Castine and incoming freshman Gaby Mizelle for that job.
