On Saturday, #12 Virginia Tech hosts #2 Clemson in perhaps the biggest game to ever be played in Lane Stadium. The buzz surrounding this game has been unlike anything Hokie fans have seen in years. With a primetime ABC slot, College GameDay returning for the first time in 10 years, and the opportunity to reassert themselves into the elite group of national contenders; fans have many reasons to be excited about this game. Now, they have another reason: fan favorite and defensive star Terrell Edmunds will be wearing the coveted #25 jersey. https://twitter.com/CoachFuente/status/913471992812261376 This will be the second time in his career that the redshirt junior Edmunds will wear the jersey. The first time came last season in the Belk Bowl against Arkansas. In that game, Edmunds recorded 5 tackles and an interception. Terrell has made quite the impact for the Hokies ever since he inserted himself into the defensive secondary during his redshirt freshman season. He is a phenomenal athlete and has also been gaining attention from many pro scouts. Edmunds is arguably the face of the Hokie defense, and is one of the strongest leaders on the team. There are few players as deserving of this honor as Terrell, and we look forward to seeing what he will do while wearing his old coach’s number. Congrats to Terrell Edmunds on receiving this honor.
