Black becomes Virginia Tech's first running back commit and first commit from the state of South Carolina. Black joins a class that includes four-star WR Latrell Neville, three-star WR Jaylen Jones, three-star DT Tyas Martin, three-star LB Will Johnson, and three-star DBs Jalen Hoyle, Nykelius Johnson, and Jalen Stroman.
Black is a fairly well-refined running back for his age, showing plenty of versatility to be an effective runner and pass catcher. That versatility helps him fit well in a VT offense that knows how to utilize versatile running backs that can be pass-catching threats.
We will have more as this story develops.
