Three-Star DB Quentin Reddish Discusses Recent Virginia Tech Offer

Virginia Tech has sent out some new offers as the February recruiting dead period has ended including one to three-star DB Quentin Reddish out of Charlotte.

Reddish told us that he was "very excited and very grateful" to receive an offer from the Hokies. It came during a phone call with safeties coach Pierson Prioleau that went well as a whole with Reddish sharing this on what they discussed.

"We talked about my recruitment, what’s going on, and extended me an offer at the end," Reddish said.

This offer didn't come out of nowhere as Reddish has been in contact with Virginia Tech for a little bit now.

"I received calls from the coaches, locked in a spring ball day, and (received) graphics," Reddish said.

He added that the date he will be visiting Virginia Tech is March 18th which is already setting up to be one of the Hokies' larger spring recruiting events.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Tech offered Reddish after he had a strong junior season with 76 tackles including 2 tackles for loss, 5 interceptions, and 15 pass deflections. That's helped him build up an offer list that includes the Hokies, NC State, Wake Forest, Duke, Missouri, West Virginia, UVA, East Carolina, Appalachian State, JMU, Liberty, and more.

So what are the strengths of his game that have helped him earn these offers and the weaknesses where he is most focused on improving?

"Definitely need to be a better tackler in space which is what I’m working on now. Strength is definitely ball hawking," Reddish said.

So how does this offer impact his recruitment and where Virginia Tech stands in it?

"They stand high in my recruitment. It's a great school that produces great DBs," Reddish said.

The Hokies are in a solid position early on in their pursuit of Quentin Reddish ahead of his first visit to Blacksburg.
