Virginia Tech has been looking to add some defensive tackles to their 2021 class, and they finally were able to do so flipping three-star DT Desmond Mamudi.

Mamudi becomes the first defensive tackle commit and third defensive line commit of this class along with three-star DEs Mattheus Carroll and Cole Nelson though three-star ATH/LB Keli Lawson could also grow into a defensive end role.
Surprisingly, Mamudi is the first commit from the state of Florida for the Hokies this cycle though Tech is also pushing hard for three-star OT Austin Barber who decommitted from Minnesota earlier this cycle. Mamudi is also the second flip within the past 24 hours as the Hokies flipped three-star ATH/RB Elijah Howard away from Tennessee last night.
We will have more as this story develops.
