The Virginia Tech Hokies have had a great weekend on the recruiting trail starting with a commitment yesterday morning from three-star OG John Harris
and continuing on with a commitment from three-star DE Eli Adams
in the afternoon. Now, the Hokies have added a third commit in two days and sixth in the past two weeks with another top target from the line of scrimmage.
Three-star DT Cam Goode out of Washington D.C. announced that he has committed to Virginia Tech. Goode has been high on the board for the Hokies at defensive tackle, and is a pickup that VT will definitely be quite happy about especially with the numerous amount of offers and targets VT has in the Washington D.C. metro in 2018.
Goode chose the Hokies over a strong list of offers that included Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Syracuse, Indiana, Boston College, Virginia and others. Goode is ranked as a top 10 DC recruit by Rivals and both 247 Sports rankings while also being ranked as the 48th best DT by 247 Sports, 60th best DT by Rivals, and 61st best DT by the 247 Sports Composite.
This is a fantastic pickup by Holmon Wiggins as Virginia Tech had him right near the top of the board at DT and since they made him a priority, it almost seemed certain that he would end up in Blacksburg. This gives the Hokies even more momentum along with someone in Goode who can help the Hokies in their pursuit of other guys from D.C. metro including talented four-star WR Daniel George.
