Howard becomes the 25th commit for the Hokies in the 2021 class along with the third from Tennessee joining three-star ATH Jaden Keller and three-star OL Bryce Goodner. It is unknown at this point whether Howard will end up at running back or a different position with the Hokies though he does have the athletic versatility to end up elsewhere.
Howard's commitment to Tech is completely out of the blue though his decommitment tweet where he said "my family values faith over uncertainty" has to make you wonder if the certainly regarding Justin Fuente returning in 2021 compared to some of the unknown surrounding Jeremy Pruitt at Tennessee may have made any difference.
We will have more as this story develops.
