Virginia Tech’s strong weekend on the recruiting trail continued into Monday as the Hokies landed a commitment from three-star LB Joshua Pittman.
Pittman is the Hokies’ third 2026 commitment joining four-star WR/TE Carnell Warren and K Will Love.
The Suffolk, VA standout chose the Hokies over other offers from Indiana, Michigan State, West Virginia, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, and more.
The 6’3’’, 210-pound linebacker is an intriguing prospect who could end up at a multitude of linebacker spots or could even grow into an edge depending on his physical development over the next couple years.
Landing Pittman is a great start to what is a very solid group of 757 recruits this cycle, with Pittman among the best 757 recruits in this class. It’s also a solid win for a defensive staff that’s seen some shakeups to land Pittman this early on, well before official visits fully get going this summer.
