Pernell is Tech's fifth in-state commit this cycle along with three-star DE Kyree Moyston, three-star DT Lemar Law Jr, three-star RB Bryce Duke, and three-star TE Harrison Saint Germain. Pernell also is Tech's third defensive line commitment along with Moyston and Law.
Pernell is undoubtedly a big in-state commit that gives Tech even more momentum in VA as they look to land some more top Richmond prospects including four-star RB Ramon Brown and three-star DE Bryson Jennings. This also helps as Tech looks to add four-star SWVA OL Gunner Givens to the class on July 16th.
Pernell projects as a defensive tackle for Tech with room likely for at least one more and maybe two. Four-star DT Santana Hopper and three-star DTs Malachi Madison and Gilbert Tongrongou are among the other DT recruits to keep an eye on to join Pernell and Lemar Law.
We will have more as this story develops.
