Virginia Tech has had a strong start on the field, but their 2021 recruiting class took a hit tonight as they lost a commitment from three-star WR Tray Curry.

To all schools.
Curry's decommitment leaves the Hokies with two wide receiver commits in Richmond star Jaylen Jones and speedy Texan Da'Wain Lofton. Curry's commitment was out of the blue initially which made many wonder if it would last. While what we had heard gave us confidence that it could, it clearly wasn't mean to be for the Hokies in the end.
Numbers are tight for Virginia Tech and it's possible that they may just stick with the two wide receiver commits they have.
However, if they seek to add another high school commit, expect it to be someone who would fit the jumbo receiver mold that Curry gave the Hokies in their 2021 class. One name to keep an eye on is three-star ATH Jaden Keller who could end up as a wide receiver at the collegiate level and recently included the Hokies in his top 7.
We will have more as this story develops.
