Virginia Tech's home opener has arrived with the Hokies looking to bounce back from a surprising upset loss at Vanderbilt last week to open the season. Meanwhile, Marshall is looking to repeat last year's upset albeit in a much more difficult situation against a better VT team on the road this time around.
So with that said, let's take a look at what I'll have my eye on in this game.
1. Can the Hokies Take Control of This Game Early?
Virginia Tech has had their issues with slow starts over the years, but they've also shown a way to start off strong and bounce back with dominant victories after some of their more disappointing losses of the Brent Pry era.
This is an important week for the Hokies to take control of this game for two reasons.
