Transfer portal season is in full swing and one place where Virginia Tech is looking for transfer reinforcements is defensive back, with an emphasis on experienced cornerbacks so far. The Hokies didn't get the best play out of their DBs last season and while they've done a good job of retaining many of their bright young talents including safeties Quentin Reddish and Sheldon Robinson plus CBs Joshua Clarke, Knahlij Harrell, and Jahmari DeLoatch; there's still work to be done.
Even if VT retains guys like Tyson Flowers, Isaiah Brown-Murray, Thomas Williams, and Jordan Crim; it still wouldn't be surprising to see the Hokies add another experienced DB or two and let them battle it out. Then again, the number of DBs, especially cornerbacks, that the Hokies are targeting does make you wonder if VT expects some portal entries from the veterans in that room.
