Anthony appeared in 13 of 14 games for UVA this past season as the primary long snapper on punts with the lone non-appearance being due to UVA not punting against William & Mary. Anthony will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out this upcoming season.
According to his UVA bio, Anthony is a "direct descendant" of third President/UVA founder Thomas Jefferson, making this transfer an even more impressive recruiting feat for the Hokies.
Anthony had this to say about why he chose Virginia Tech.
"I really loved the family atmosphere in Blacksburg with the staff and team. Also, Brock Hoffman is like a cousin to me and our families are extremely close which helped me make my decision," Anthony said.
We will have more as this story develops.
