2020 Floridian WR Xavier McGriff has built up a solid offer list with offers from across the ACC, SEC, and even the Pac-12.
Recently, McGriff told us that Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Ole Miss are standing out in his recruitment. McGriff told us that the Hokies are standing out because of VT's campus and that they are "high" on his intended major of engineering. In addition, the Hokies and South Carolina are recruiting McGriff the hardest.
McGriff is visiting South Carolina this weekend for their game against Georgia, but also told us that he hopes to visit Virginia Tech in the near future.
The Floridian receiver was also in Blacksburg earlier this summer, telling us that he had a "pretty good" visit and that VT's engineering program stood out to him while in Blacksburg.
McGriff appears poised to receive more offers this fall with Georgia being the school that he feels may be the closest to offering him.
McGriff projects to be an outside receiver for the Hokies at 6'2'' and 180 pounds with the frame to add more weight.
The Hokies have had a lot of success recruiting in Florida under Justin Fuente with four commits in the 2019 class from the Sunshine State. For now, the Hokies are in a good position to add some more Florida talent in 2020 with VT being right in the hunt for Xavier McGriff.
