A common complaint for many Virginia Tech fans has been the fact that the Hokies do not have a policy to allow babies and infants to attend games should their families want to attend together. This came in contrast to most major athletic programs that have some sort of policy that allows fans to bring their youngest children to games for free.
Well a day after Virginia Tech announced price increases for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball tickets; VT athletic director Brian White went on X and announced that effective immediately, all athletic events are free for children under three, with Friday night's clash with Pittsburgh being the first event under the new policy.

My son "watched" his first VT game against LSU the day Vick's jersey was retired. He was less than a year old and watched from the car seat carrier. He then graduated from VT in 2023. This is the way.

The new policy could also add some additional inventory onto secondary markets for fans looking to go to Virginia Tech's four remaining ACC games starting with this Friday night's matchup with Pittsburgh, arguably the most highly-anticipated game at Lane Stadium in the 2020s.
