With Early Signing Day only a few days away, Virginia Tech is hosting their biggest official visit weekend of the year with several talented recruits and commits on campus. Tech kicked off the weekend with big news announcing the additions of Darryl Tapp and Tracy Claeys to the defensive staff, particularly good timing given the makeup of uncommitted visitors this weekend.

The biggest headline visitors are the uncommitted Texas trio of defensive ends in 4* DE Alec Bryant, 3* DE Robert Wooten, and 3* DE Clinton Anokwuru. All three were previously committed to Power 5 programs with Bryant having been committed to LSU, Wooten to Missouri, and Anokwuru to Texas Tech.

Landing an official visit from Alec Bryant is a huge coup for the Hokies especially with the significant surge in interest that came after his decommitment as he landed offers from USC and Texas. Now, the Hokies have a great opportunity to make a major push for Bryant and try to land his signature by the end of the early signing window next week.

Robert Wooten previously told us that he was down to Virginia Tech and SMU with the Hokies looking like the on-paper favorites against a tough challenge from a quality in-state school. Wooten is all set to sign somewhere this upcoming Wednesday with Tech being in a great position to make a statement and seal the deal this weekend.

Clinton Anokwuru told us previously that he plans on signing in February instead of next week, but Tech obviously has a great opportunity to make a statement this weekend and even try to convince him to speed that timeline up. Anokwuru previously told us that the Hokies and Texas Tech are among the top schools in his recruitment currently after Tech recently offered him.

In addition to those 3, the Hokies are also hosting prep TE Wilfried Pene. The Hokies offered Pene earlier this week with Central Michigan joining the offer list after for the late-blooming TE who's originally from France. Pene has also been receiving interest from Michigan, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, and Maryland with Tech likely to make a hard push to get him to commit and sign this upcoming Wednesday.

Pene's teammate Alante Brown was previously scheduled to take an official visit this weekend, but tweeted out earlier today that he was going to take his final official visit to Ole Miss instead.

The Hokies are hosting multiple commits including three-star JUCO RB Marco Lee, three-star RB Jalen Hampton, three-star S Keonta Jenkins, and three-star DB Lakeem Rudolph.

Check out the full running list of official visitors below that will be updated as necessary this weekend.
