Virginia Tech has already gained traction with lots of in-state recruits in the 2028 class. That includes 2028 ATH Layne Jessee out of Lebanon, VA, who had this to say when asked which schools are currently standing out for him.
“Right now, UVA, Tech, and Louisville have all really really impressed me. But all the others have been really amazing too,” Jessee said.
He had this to say about why the Hokies are currently standing out for him.
“It is close to home, and the coaching staff is really invested in winning.
The 6’2’’, 222-pound Jessee added that VT is among those recruiting him the hardest along with Louisville and North Carolina. Recruiting staffer Chris Mahon has played a major role in VT’s pursuit of Jessee so far, with the in-state athlete having this to say about their relationship.
“It’s very well. He is always reaching out and wishing me the best,” Jessee said.
Jessee currently holds offers from VT, Syracuse, and ETSU. Virginia Tech currently is recruiting him as an athlete though some are evaluating him as a linebacker.
He had this to say about his goals for the fall as he looks to take his game to the next level and earn more offers.
“On the field, it’s definitely winning state and becoming all state again. For my development, I just want to polish up and become an even more well-rounded player,” Jessee said.
As the fall progresses, keep an eye on Layne Jessee as a 2028 in-state recruit to monitor.
