Tae Daley will get the start today for the #Hokies at free safety, replacing Keonta Jenkins, who is out with a foot injury.
Vanderbilt transfer Tae Daley will start in place of Jenkins at free safety against the Blue Raiders with Jalen Stroman appearing to be the backup. This comes after Daley and Jenkins split reps last week at free safety with Jenkins having three tackles in the win against North Carolina.
This game would have been a great chance for the young Jenkins to gain some more experience, but this should be a great chance for Daley to get more live game reps with the first team defense ahead of next week against West Virginia.
Jalen Stroman could also benefit as a big, early lead for the Hokies could allow Tech to give him significant second half reps.
We will have more as this story develops.
