Two Hokies have made moves from working at cornerback to working at safety this offseason starting with sophomore Knahlij Harrell in the spring and then continuing with Penn State transfer Kenny Woseley Jr during the early part of fall camp.
Let’s start with Woseley, the Penn State transfer who most recently made the move to safety during fall camp and is doing well from safeties coach Anthony Midget’s perspective.
“He's a versatile guy that can do a lot of different things for us. But he's been playing corner, played safety. He's played nickel. He can play any position in the back end. And that's because it's testament to him. He's smart. He has good football intelligence. So we're excited about what he can do and how we can utilize him this fall,” Midget said.
Starting safety Quentin Reddish has also liked what he’s seen so far from Woseley as he’s made the move to safety from cornerback.
