Madison is the first Hokie to announce his intentions to enter the transfer portal. During his three years at Virginia Tech, Madison had four tackles including a sack against Stanford. He will have three years of eligibility remaining and will likely be a target for many Group of 5 and FCS programs.
Madison was unable to gain significant traction on the DT depth chart during his time in Blacksburg and clearly he was not set to break into the two-deep next season. The Hokies are likely to add at least one DT during this transfer portal cycle to account for the graduations of Aeneas Peebles, Wilfried Pene, and Josh Fuga.
