Here's a look at the latest Virginia Tech football recruiting notes with the Hokies making the cut for a top 2021 target plus updates on a pair of 2022 four-star recruits.

The Hokies were joined by three SEC teams (Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas), two Big 12 teams (West Virginia, Kansas), and Florida Atlantic. Christian had previously told us that the Hokies are in contact with him "everyday", a major indication of how much of a priority target that Christian is for VT.
Tech appears to be looking to land at least one big back this cycle with Christian at 6'2'' and 200 pounds fitting that mold along with four-star Audric Estime out of New Jersey. The SEC schools seem likely to be the toughest challenge for the Pinson, AL tailback, especially Ole Miss and Arkansas given their SEC West ties.
Tech is right in the hunt for Christian, but they still have plenty of work ahead to land him.
2022 4* WR Adam Randall
Adam Randall is poised to be one of Virginia Tech's top WR targets in the 2022 with the Hokies in good shape with the South Carolinian early on.
Randall told us that Virginia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee are currently standing out for him. This comes from an offer list that also includes Power 5 programs like Louisville, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Arkansas, and Duke.
TEs coach James Shibest, the usual area recruiter in South Carolina, is unsurprisingly leading the charge for the Hokies in Randall's recruitment with the two building a "good" relationship.
Tech has had their fair share of success recruiting offensive skill position players in South Carolina as they currently have a commitment from Chance Black after signing Dallan Wright in their 2020 class and Jacoby Pinckney in the 2019 class.
The Hokies are hoping that they continue that trend in the 2022 class with Randall and also another talented player from the Palmetto State.
2022 4* WR/TE Jaleel Skinner
6'5'' jumbo WR Jaleel Skinner has emerged as a priority target for several schools with five emerging in his recruitment.
Skinner told us that Virginia Tech, in-state South Carolina, Florida, Penn State, and Arkansas are currently standing out for him. His offer list also includes other major Power 5 programs including Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest.
Skinner projects at wide receiver at the moment though his size and frame has led 247 Sports to evaluating him as a tight end and ranking him #1 at that position in the 2022 class. While there is a chance Skinner could end up at tight end, he still projects more as a jumbo outside receiver given his great size that could give opposing cornerbacks lots of issues.
Keep an eye on Skinner as the Hokies once again look to the Palmetto State for landing talented, offensive playmakers.
