There may not be as many recruits on campus at Virginia Tech this week, but the Hokies are hosting loads of their top targets.
It started on Monday as the Hokies were hosting a pair of big time DBs in three-star safety Zahir Rainer and 2025 four-star DB Faheem Delane. Rainer has emerged as one of Tech's top safety targets while Mansoor Delane's younger brother is already one of Tech's top overall targets in the 2025 class.
Tuesday brings talented Salem RB Peyton Lewis to campus. The near four-star tailback may be one of the fastest football recruits in America especially after recently running a 60m time that would have qualified him for the final of this year's ACC Indoor Championships.
Thursday will see Lewis' talented teammate (and standout hurdler) 3* LB Chris Cole visit Blacksburg for what is at least the second time in 2023. 3* DB Brody Barnhardt is another notable target visiting along with recent offer Javier Etheridge, a 3* ATH. Three-star ATH Kameron Courtney out of Northern Virginia may be the most intriguing unoffered guy to watch among visitors throughout this week.
Saturday will see a larger crew visit headlined by 4* DB Kelvin Hunter out of South Carolina who is also one of VT's top safety targets, like Rainer and Barnhardt, and included the Hokies in his top 5. Three-star DL Kendal Howard is also going to be on campus meaning at least 3 of the big "immediate backyard" (within an hour of Blacksburg) targets will be on campus this week.
A pair of interesting unoffered recruits will be visiting in 3* QB Timothy Carpenter and 3* CB Corey Myrick. Recent 2026 RB offer Darren Williams out of Richmond also made the cut.
