Virginia Tech Football has announced the addition of five new staffers while also adjusting the roles of four current assistants.

The Hokies have hired the following coaches to new roles.
- Trey Neyer: Assistant Director of Player Personnel
- Jens Danielsen: Assistant OL Coach
- Cannon Montgomery: Assistant RBs Coach
- Bryan Whitehead: Nickels Coach
- Jireh Wilson: Edges Coach
Additionally, VT has announced that Brent Davis will be the TEs coach (previously co-OL coach), Xavier Adibi will coach ILBs (previously assistant LBs coach), and Shawn Quinn will coach OLBs (previously star LBs/nickels coach). While not announced, it is implied that Stu Holt will solely be the special teams coordinator going forward.
Trey Neyer joins the staff after previously leading the player personnel department at West Virginia. He will take on a very similar role that Mike Villagrana and Alex Jones have held.
Jens Danielsen comes to Blacksburg after coaching the offensive line under Matt Moore for a few years at West Virginia.
Cannon Montgomery is the son of new Hokies OC Philip Montgomery and was the WRs coach at Houston Christian after being a grad assistant at Tulsa (2022) and Auburn (2023).
Bryan Whitehead joins the staff after spending the past three seasons at Southen Miss including this past year as the nickels coach. He also coached with new defensive coordinator at Sam Siefkes at UW-Platteville and Wofford.
Jireh Wilson joins the staff after spending last year as the safeties coach at Kennesaw State. He was also the defensive coordinator at North Greenville in 2023 and played for Siefkes at Wofford.
