Virginia Tech Lands Former Penn State OL Commits Roseby Lubintus and Marlen Bright

Roseby Lubintus 1 VT Visit Nov 25

Virginia Tech’s strong recruiting under James Franklin continued on Thanksgiving as the Hokies landed a pair of former Penn State OL commits from New Jersey in three-star recruits Roseby Lubintus and Marlen Bright.

Lubintus and Bright give the Hokies’ 11 commits for the 2026 class including five offensive line commits along with three-star OT Tyrell Simpson and three-star OL Buddy Wegdam and Adrian Hamilton. Lubintus and Bright also give VT three former Penn State commits along with four-star RB Messiah Mickens.

Lubintus was uncommitted when he chose VT, but he had previously been committed to Penn State and Syracuse while Bright was a direct flip from Penn State to Virginia Tech. Both Lubintus and Bright visited Blacksburg last weekend.

During James Franklin’s introductory press conference, he mentioned that building through the trenches would be a priority of his, and that has proven true so far with these two commitments. Add in how the Hokies are trending for a pair of in-state offensive linemen in four-star OT Thomas Wilder and three-star OT Maddox Cochrane.

James Franklin also deserves credit for how well he’s been to bring multiple Penn State commits with him who have strong offer lists as well.

We will have more as this story develops.
