Virginia Tech linebacker Jordan Bass, who transferred in from Pittsburgh, was charged with DWI and a civil violation for under-21 marijuana usage on January 18th per state court records. He is due back in court for an initial appearance on February 4th per state court records.
Virginia Tech has shared the following statement.
“Virginia Tech is aware of an incident involving football student-athlete Jordan Bass. As this is a legal matter, we will abide by university policy and have no further comment until the process is complete.”
The law firm Turk & Turk, P.C. confirmed to The Tech Lunch Pail that they are representing Jordan Bass. They have declined further comment at this time.
Bass just arrived at Virginia Tech after spending the past two seasons at Pittsburgh. During his time with the Panthers, Bass had 25 tackles including 5.5 for loss with one sack. The Hampton, VA native has two years of eligibility plus a redshirt remaining.
