After being suspended for spring practice as reported by multiple media members, Virginia Tech early enrollee LB Reid Pulliam has entered the transfer portal as first reported by VT Scoop.
Virginia Tech linebacker Reid Pulliam is officially in the transfer portal, per a source. He was suspended for the spring after enrolling early in Blacksburg https://t.co/AvwihNWFA1

Pulliam has his full eligibility remaining though his entrance to the transfer portal now after the May 1st deadline means that he'll need a waiver in order to be immediately eligible for his next team.
Pulliam's departure is definitely a disappointment, but the good news for Tech is that they at least have heavily recruited the LB position the past couple years. The Hokies may also be poised for a large LB class this cycle as well which appeared to be the plan prior to Pulliam being quietly suspended and now entering the transfer portal.
Tech could look at using this scholarship on a grad transfer to fill a short term gap whether for depth reasons or even for a starting role. Offensive line would make sense given the hoards of you there to at least build on the depth there while DB has appeared to be a spot of interest for this staff in terms of the transfer portal.
We will have more as this story develops.
