Virginia Tech extended plenty of offers this past week including one to 2022 OL Gilles Tchio, teammate of recent Hokies' QB commit Devin Farrell.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Hokies' offer, his first offer to date.
"Probably excited I'd say. It’s a chance to play at the next level," Tchio said.
The fact that Tchio is receiving Power 5 offers shouldn't come as a surprise after he earned First Team All-Region this past season. That has also led Tchio to receive interest from multiple other high end programs including North Carolina, in-state Georgia Tech, USF, and East Carolina.
He had this to say about how his conversation with offensive line coach Vance Vice went as a whole.
"It was pretty good. He asked me about my grades and how my season went, etc," Tchio said.
So how does this offer impact his recruitment? Tchio told us that he would say that the Hokies are the leaders in his recruitment and had this to say about why that's the case.
"I probably say that cause they're a football town and have a similar vibe like Clemson did when visiting with my brother and there is just something about your first offer that attracts you towards them," Tchio said.
Tchio also confirmed that Tech being the first to offer Tchio will likely be important for Tech's chances in his recruitment.
"Probably a good bit cause they were the first team to take a chance on me," Tchio said.
However, Tchio doesn't plan to make a decision in the near future specifying that he is looking at making his decision after his senior season.
Virginia Tech has already landed one talented 2022 recruit out of Milton HS in QB Devin Farrell with Tech being in great, early shape to land Gilles Tchio.
