Offensive line is a high priority for Virginia Tech in the Class of 2018 with the Hokies currently having only one commit in three-star offensive guard John Harris. The Hokies are looking to add a few more offensive line commits with three-star SC OT Jordan McFadden being a top target for the Hokies for months along the offensive line.
Tonight, the Hokies received some good news on their pursuit of the talented South Carolina OT.
Jordan McFadden released his top 4 this evening which included Virginia Tech, Duke, Michigan State, and Rutgers. The Hokies and Blue Devils are the frontrunners with Michigan State and Rutgers looking to try to surprise the pair of ACC schools for the talented South Carolina offensive lineman.
McFadden has a strong offer list that includes the Hokies, Duke, Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Syracuse, Wake Forest, NC State, Indiana, Rutgers, Virginia, and more. McFadden is currently ranked as the 108th best OT and 22nd best South Carolina recruit by the 247 Sports Composite and the 28th best South Carolina recruit by Rivals.
TEs coach James Shibest has been leading the charge for McFadden alongside OL coach Vance Vice with the Hokies having McFadden as a high priority along the Hokies' offensive line for the past few months. McFadden recently took visits to the Hokies and Duke as well while it doesn't appear that he has taken ones to Michigan State and Rutgers, making it more likely that while those 2 schools made the cut, it truly is down to Virginia Tech and Duke.
If the Hokies can close on McFadden, it'll be another solid win for the Hokies along the offensive line on the recruiting trail with McFadden having been high on the Hokies' OL board for months.
