While James Franklin plans to largely recruit within Virginia Tech's traditional footprint, Franklin has already said that he also plans to have VT recruiting nationally in some cases. That includes four-star LB Broncs Baker from Tooele, Utah who recently released a top six with VT making the cut.
Virginia Tech made the cut for Baker along with Michigan, West Virginia, Boise State, Washington State, and Oregon State. In addition to those six schools, Baker also holds offers from Arizona State, California, Kansas State, and UNLV.
Baker had this to say about why the Hokies made his top six.
