After having a "great" visit to Virginia Tech, the Hokies made the top 7 for four-star DE Obinna Onwuka.

The Hokies were joined by Penn State, USC, Maryland, West Virginia, Boston College, and Memphis in his top 7. Onwuka is emerging as one of Virginia Tech's top DE targets and fits the mold physically being a 6'4'', 225-pound prospect.
He had this to say about why the Hokies made his top 7.
"Because Virginia Tech is a place that turns you into something bigger than a man," Onwuka said
So what made his visit prior to Tech making his top 7 a "great" visit?
"Just the vibes and how they took care of us, the practice was very fun and entertaining," Onwuka said.
He had this to say about what he did during his visit.
"We watched practice first, then took photos, then went back to watch the closing of practice, then we ate which I could say Virginia Tech food was the best I've had in a while, and then we went through the game tunnel and walked around the field. The place is nice," Onwuka said.
His visit also spending time of plenty with VT coaches with Onwuka spending the most time with DL coach J.C. Price and head coach Brent Pry. He told us that his time with Pry was "great."
He had this to say about his time with Price.
"It was nice. We chopped it out, it was great," Onwuka said.
Virginia Tech is right in the hunt for four-star DE Obinna Onwuka out of Maryland after impressing him on his visit this past weekend.
