There's no doubt that Mansoor Delane was the most impressive true freshman for Virginia Tech last season. The Maryland native didn't play much till October due in part to the fact that injuries derailed his fall camp last year.
However, once Delane was healthy and adjusted, he seized the opportunities received due in part to the injury to Dorian Strong stepping his game up in Strong's absence and proving dominant. In the process, Delane put up 38 tackles including 2.5 for loss plus 1 interception, 8 pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles on his way to earning All-ACC Honorable Mention and 247 Sports True Freshman All-American honors.
Now that he's healthy for fall camp this year, Delane is working to take his game to the next level and enjoying the fact that he isn't sidelined in August this time around.
