After spring practice recently wrapped up, Virginia Tech had their first scholarship player enter the transfer portal today in WR Tyree Saunders.
The Florida native did not receive any playing time this past season and will have four years of eligibility. Saunders initially committed to South Florida, but flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech later on after receiving an offer from the Hokies.
This comes after a spring practice where there was plenty of hype surrounding early enrollee wide receivers Jaylen Jones and Da'Wain Lofton.
Saunders becomes the second scholarship player to enter the transfer portal since the end of spring practice joining RB Terius Wheatley.
We will have more as this story develops.
