Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore WR Xayvion Turner-Bradshaw will enter the transfer portal, as reported by 247 Sports.
During his three seasons at Virginia Tech, Turner-Bradshaw had a nine-yard receptions plus four carries for 73 rushing yards including a 47-yard rushing touchdown against NC State in 2023. He also had a 20-yard punt return earlier this season.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
Turner-Bradshaw was a late addition to the 2022 class who received his offer right after Brent Pry arrived at Virginia Tech. While there was plenty of excitement about his potential, he was never able to break through on a regular basis for the Hokies, falling behind the younger Takye Heath on the slot receiver depth chart early in 2023, which was only masked by Heath's season-ending injury against Rutgers.
The writing started to appear on the wall just a few weeks ago when Brent Pry shared that Turner-Bradshaw was starting to work at defensive back. Looking ahead, I would expect Turner-Bradshaw to move back to wide receiver at his next destination.
His departure doesn't change the transfer portal math this cycle for the Hokies, with Tech having depth in the slot via Takye Heath and Jayden Anderson plus versatile outside receivers like Ayden Greene and Keylen Adams. The Hokies are looking at bringing in another receiver to add onto what they have with Greene, Adams, and Heath with East Carolina's Chase Sowell and Kent State's Chrishon McCray both receiving offers and publicly reporting them.
