Coming off the mat, Gaj experienced mixed emotions after he clinched his spot on the podium.
"It's a weird feeling right now," he explained. "I'm grateful and happy, but I'm more so disappointed. My goal was to win the tournament. It's what I started the sport to do. I would watch the tournaments when I was five, six years old. Someday, I'm going to win it, but everything happens for a reason."
