The Demon Deacons fired Elrod and their report state that the Cardinals were not the only team to receive info but that teams had been receiving info over the past three seasons from Elrod.
Today, Whit Babcock made an unexpected statement revealing that Virginia Tech is involved in the scandal.

Whit Babcock publicly apologized for Virginia Tech's involvement in the scandal as he stated that a former assistant received information from Elrod before the Hokies faced Wake Forest in 2014. Babcock also stated that he has no knowledge that any other assistant was made aware of this information, and that there is no indication of this information being used in the gameplan.
Babcock also stated that Frank Beamer and Bud Foster did not have any knowledge of this information while Beamer also made a statement that he had no knowledge of any assistant receiving inside information.
The news is disappointing, but Babcock has handled this much better than Louisville AD Tom Jurich in admitting and apologizing for wrongdoing by a former assistant (not a current one as is the case at Louisville), and by saying that they will "comply fully" with the ACC in this investigation. Babcock has proven that not only does he run a successful athletic department, but one that strives for the best ethical and moral behavior with this response being the latest example.
