2020 Four-Star DE Alec Bryant Will Visit Virginia Tech After Recent Offer

IMG 2889 1
Virginia Tech has been sending out lots of offer to Texas recruits in recent weeks including 2020 four-star DE Alec Bryant yesterday. https://twitter.com/ABXCII/status/1085584878047977472 Bryant told us that he was "surprised" from the offer and that the Hokies are now "one of my top schools for sure." Additionally, Bryant added that this offer is a "game changer for me." Already, Bryant has a visit scheduled to Virginia Tech on February 9th which is setting up to be another major Junior Day for the Hokies. Bryant also has visits scheduled to Oklahoma and Texas Tech in the coming weeks. When Bryant does make his trip to Blacksburg, he hopes to see how well he would fit both with his intended major and in the Hokies' defensive scheme. Bryant also sees this as an opportunity to start to build a "good relationship" with the VT coaching staff. At the time of being offered, Bryant told us that Oklahoma, TCU, and LSU were the schools recruiting him the hardest. However, the fact that VT already has a visit set up with him makes it clear that the Hokies plan to quickly make him a priority. Virginia Tech may not have the richest recruiting history in Texas, but the Hokies have slowly but steadily extended more offers to Lone Star state recruits as Justin Fuente has gotten farther into his tenure. Going forward, it seems like the Hokies are ready to try to consistently pursue a few Texas recruits each cycle with Bryant being one of those targets. Virginia Tech has jumped right into the mix for Alec Bryant and will have a great opportunity to become a larger contender in his recruitment in a few weeks.
