As an upperclassman, Kumah was one of the most experienced players on the Hokies’ offense in 2018. He was Tech’s second leading receiver this past season with 42 receptions for 559 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Eric Kumah joins a list of players to transfer away from Tech in recent months. Players such as D’Andre Plantin, Rico Kearney, and fellow wide receiver Sean Savoy have all announced their intentions to leave Virginia Tech during the 2018 season. Tight end Chris Cunningham announced his plans to transfer roughly 20 minutes after Kumah on Tuesday evening.
