Virginia Tech kicked off their biggest recruiting weekend of June with some talented Thursday visitors including talented four-star CB Asaad Brown Jr out of the 757.

Brown had this to say about how his first visit to Virginia Tech since the arrival of Brent Pry and his staff went.

"It was good. Got a chance to build with Coach Cheetah (Derek Jones)," Brown said.

He had this to say about what made it a good visit for him.

"The staff was welcoming and it wasn’t just about the game. They made it about getting to know us and our family," Brown said.

The different vibe that the new staff has brought also stood out as Brown told us.

"Overall, it was a good visit. Everything stood out because the vibe was different under the new staff," Brown said.

As state above, one of the most notable things for Brown during his visit was his time with CBs coach Derek Jones with the four-star standout out of 757 power Oscar Smith having to this to say about their time and conversations.

"We talked about life. About how to navigate the recruiting process. We never talked x’s & o’s. I respect that from him," Brown said.

He also spent time with head coach Brent Pry and safeties coach Pierson Prioleau having this to say about his time with Pry and the clear message Tech's new head coach has for him and all VA recruits.

"It was great!! He emphasized that he wants to keep Virginia in Virginia," Brown said.

He added this about his time and conversations with Pierson Prioleau.

"Great talk. Shared his experience with Tech and his path in the NFL back to college," Brown said.

So how did this visit impact Brown's recruitment and where Virginia Tech stands in it?

"They’ve always been in good standing. Looking forward to building a relationship," Brown said.

Asaad Brown Jr is poised to be one of Virginia Tech's top overall targets in the 2024 class with the four-star CB out of the 757 being impressed by the Hokies in his first visit to Blacksburg since the arrival of Brent Pry and his staff.
